Luminar 2 makes sense when
- Most sessions involve one or two people.
- The available site favors a smaller cabin.
- You would rather reserve budget for electrical or site work.
- You do not want to heat unused cabin space.
Luminar 5 makes sense when
- Three or more people will realistically use it together.
- The larger assembled footprint fits comfortably.
- Delivery access accommodates the project.
- The price difference does not compromise installation quality.
A capacity label is not a comfort guarantee
Published person counts are useful starting points, but body size, preferred spacing and session style affect comfort. Before ordering, compare current interior dimensions and bench layout—not only the person-count label.
The ruthless test
Write down the number of people who will use the sauna together at least twice per month. Size for that number. Do not spend thousands more for a once-a-year scenario unless the extra room itself is valuable to you.
